Asked a few years I was asked ago if I would board some ones dog while they were on holiday so I opened up my home to one very large, friendly Irish wolfhound. Both my dogs thoroughly enjoyed his company and I was all on to stop my husband and son from spoiling him. Word soon spread and the boarding is still very much part of my week.
Now licensed with Halton Borough Council I continue to take bookings throughout the year. Living with the residential dogs and my family the house has now been adapted to make it more comfortable for both humans and dogs a like. Your dog has the free range of the ground level of the home, secured gardens and joining the humans in the BBQ’s through the summer or snuggling down to watch the TV in the winter. All boarders have their own individual space to settle down through the night or when I am out and during the day and they usually choose to lie where I may be. Walked daily they experience the true meaning of being in a pack situation in or out of the home and know that their behaviour is understood by the person looking after them.
Spaces are limited so booking is needed giving as much notice as possible. The forms, along with the terms and conditions are on the Web page, then when you decide please ring to arrange a visit with your dog.
Bookings can be for days, weeks or months depending on space. Dogs suffering with behavioural problems are very welcome but full disclosure must be given at the time of booking so that the right strategy is put in place for their stay.
